This blog is one mans opinion and commentary on the subject of the end times or eschatology. There are many differing views that surround this topic and my purpose is to drive people into their bibles to look for answers. It is my view that King Jesus is more better that we have been led to believe. The traditions of the modern church have gotten in the way of actual Truth. I challenge anyone who disagrees to publicly contend with me and scripturally correct my point of view.

The Generation Controversy
So maybe you didn't know about a generation controversy. The popular view in Christianity today is that we are living in the biblical last days. There are a 37 verses in the bible that use the Greek word "genea" which is translated in to the English word "generation". Below I have copied all 37 verses for ease of reading. Read them and decide for yourself what the word "generation" means. Leave a comment as to what you determine with an explanation to support your definition.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines generation: the average span of time between the birth of parents and that of their offspring; a body of living beings constituting a single step in the line of descent from an ancestor, etc. Based on that, a generation would be an avearge period of approximately 20 to 30 years. In the "old testament", people lived much longer so a generation may have covered a greater expanse of time. I think the definition of "generation" used in the bible verses covered would have a similar meaning to the definitions given by the Merriam-Webster dictionary.
